Graeme and Cooper Willoughby had impressive rounds of 47 and 48 points for an aggregate 95, from runners-up Stephen Townsend and Glen Warren with 90 points.
Men’s scratch winners were Mick Barnett and Jack Tonta with 75 scratch points.
In the ladies 36 hole event, Jen Swainger and Marg Rothwell scored 92 points for a comfortable 10 point victory over runners-up Lyn O’Brien and Jan Lord.
Scratch winners were Kerran Leetham and Vicki Hutton with 60 scratch points.
A highlight of the weekend was a hole-in-one by Jen Swainger on the 5th.
On Saturday, the men’s winners were Matt Thomas and Oscar Marshall with 51, from Jarryd Pearce and Jarod Sommerfeld 48.
Ladies winners were Mandy Phyland and Sarah Aitken 44, from runners-up Kathy Simpson and Linda Brant 41.
On Sunday the men’s winners were Neil Boswell and Robin Hood on 46 from runners-up Kevin Keane and John Kenna 42.
Ladies winners were Anita Gorsuch and Sue Butcher with 40, on countback to runners-up Libby Henderson and Sue Hancock.
Last Thursday the ladies played a stroke event.
A-grade winner was Jen Swainger net 68 from runner-up Pauline Davis 77, and B-grade winner was Jane Armytage 72, from runner-up Prue Grant 74.
Wednesday’s stableford event was won in A-grade by Ross Taylor with 40 points from runner-up Graeme Willoughby 38, and B-grade winner was Tony Tonta 38 from runner-up Ken Maher 37.
This weekend is a stableford event tomorrow, then the South School Charity Day on Sunday.
The charity day is a four-person ambrose with 11.30am assembly for noon shotgun start.
Put your names on the list in the pro shop. The $30 entry fee includes a barbecue lunch.
Next Tuesday the ladies have a nine hole versus par event, and Wednesday is stableford.
On Thursday the ladies will play the first round of their championships, then the first round of the men’s and juniors championships will be played on Saturday and Sunday.
Friday Night Fun continues tonight with raffle tickets on sale from 6pm and draws starting at 7.30pm. Meals are provided by our caterers, 2LB’s on both Friday and Saturday nights.
