Everyone was very keen to get back out on the field with some awesome soccer being played in the Deniliquin District Soccer Association competition on Saturday.

“Welcome back to all the players, coaches, and parents for the second half of the 2023 DDSC season,” the committee said.
“It’s going to be great to watch the results as we lead up to the finals on the last weekend of August.”

Heart vs United was a physical match, with several players injured before and during the match.
Daniel Burn was a standout in the midfield for Heart, with Jack McGrillen scoring a hat trick for United.
Jack’s hat trick wasn’t enough to get United over the line, with Heart emerging victorious.

Heart showed great sportsmanship with two of their players helping out with numbers for the opposition, including scoring against their own team.
Amelia Thompson bagged herself a hat trick, and Havanna Sztejman scored her first goal in B2-grade.

All we can say with Mariners vs Victory is just wow, what a match.
Mariners got off to an early lead with two quick goals.
Victory quickly turned that around taking the lead at half-time.
The lead changed another two times with the game ending in a draw.
All round there were skills beyond their years, team work, great goal keeping, just all round good soccer to watch.

A really close and exciting game between Victory and Roar was tightly balanced until the end with Victory just edging out Roar.

It was good to see these teams having so much fun during their match.
Good sportsmanship shown by Oliver Raper from Heart, switching teams to United for the day to even up the numbers.
He even scored two goals against his own team, helping United win the match overall.
