The sunshine and a dry pitch Saturday morning were all the Deni Rhinos under-14s team needed to take the field for their first match of the 22/23 season.

The young Rhinos travelled to Tocumwal full of enthusiasm and excitement as the wet weather over the past month finally cleared to allow the match to go ahead.
The game against Tocumwal is a two week match, with a 20/20 completed on Saturday and the remaining 20/20 overs to be completed next week.
New captain Charlie McCallum won the toss and sent the Tocumwal team into bat.
The opening batsmen set their team up for a solid 3/65 off the first 20 overs.
Sam Conallin, Ted Wren and Tom Bull took important wickets late in the innings to keep Tocumwal's score within reach.
Charlie McCallum and Ted Wren combined for an excellent batting partnership, McCallum finished with 21 and Wren with 13.
The boys set the foundation for a tidy innings from the Rhinos finishing their 20 overs 7/62.
It makes for a very tight game to be completed next week.
