All players in these two teams are required to play, so that each team will have 14 men and six ladies facing off in the grand final played out over 30 sets.
The ladder after eight rounds saw Deni Newsagency in first place with 110 sets won, and Peppin Planners in second place with 94 sets won.
Mitre 10 ended third with 81 sets and Legal Eagles were last on 77 sets.
Players from Mitre 10 and Legal Eagles can store away their racket until 2025.
In round eight last week, Deni Newsagency had a win over Mitre 10 by 12 sets and 118 games to Mitre 10’s 12 sets and 97 games - a close match.
For Newsagency, Pat Conlan and Colin McCrabb won their three sets while Mitre 10 had Rob Wettenhall, Jack Eastman and Belle Galbraith win three sets.
Although Peppin Planners are in the grand final tomorrow, they suffered a heavy loss last week to the last-placed Legal Eagles.
The Eagles won 17 sets and 121 games to Peppin’s seven sets and 85 games.
Laura Campbell won her three sets for Peppin, while Thomas Grant, Bec Elstone, Clive Gow, Darcy Pogue and Benjy Pisasale were all three-set winners for Legal Eagles.
In the grand final, with all 20 players playing for each team, there will be very different match ups and results maybe very different.
Jon Gatacre and Mark Ritchie will face off at the head of the table against each other, while Donna McCluskey will face off against Emma Wettenhall in the ladies matches.
All four players have set a high standard and are used to winning.
Players are requested to be at the club by 5.45pm for team photos before play commences at 6pm.
All club members are welcome to come along and watch the grand final.
Players are reminded that they can put their names down tomorrow for the next competition, which will get under way on Wednesday, February 12.
Members are advised that the 12 lawn courts will be scarified on Thursday, and it is expected that they will be out of service until mid-January.
However, the six hard courts are available and four of these courts have good lights for evening tennis.
Deniliquin Lawn Tennis Club president Harley Moore will get the Wednesday evening hit-ups started again from Wednesday, January 15.
