Toc u13s fall in hard-fought battle

The Tocumwal netball team at a quarter time break.

In a thrilling grand final match on the weekend, Tocumwal’s under-13s netball team took on Deniliquin Rovers in a contest filled with intensity and nerves.

From the first whistle, it was clear both teams were determined, with turnovers dominating the early play.

It took some time before the first goal was finally scored by Deniliquin, who managed to gain momentum and have a strong first quarter.

Despite the challenging start, our girls never gave up.

They demonstrated the skills and teamwork they had been honing all year, fighting tirelessly right until the final whistle.

Although the score gap proved difficult to close, the effort and heart shown by each and every player was inspiring.

All the girls should be incredibly proud of their performance in the grand final.

Well done to the entire team for their hard work and determination.

A big thank you to coach Sarah, team manager Michelle and everyone who helped this team reach the grand final.

Final score: Tocumwal 13 def by Deni Rovers 29.
