The prestigious tournament will be hosted at the Deniliquin Golf Club, supported by Edward River Council.
It is the second in a three-year agreement with the PGA, and promises to bring together golf enthusiasts and legends from near and far, vying for the prize fund of $12,500.
With some amateur spots still remaining, it is a fantastic opportunity for local and regional golfers to team up with professionals, including some international golf legends.
This year’s Pro-Am is expected to attract more than 140 participants, playing it out against the beautiful backdrop of Deniliquin Golf Course.
The full player list is available from the PGA website with tournament invitation players to be announced shortly.
Spectators are encouraged to head down and witness some golf greats in action, or listen in as 2QN Radio provides live score updates from the green throughout the tournament.
At 6pm, there will be a presentation ceremony celebrating the achievements of the participants and giving fans the chance to mingle with the legends of the game.
Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the excitement and connect with the stars of golf!
“We are thrilled to be hosting this Legends Tour Pro-Am event here in Deniliquin,” Edward River interim CEO Gary Arnold said.
“As a proud sporting region, what better way to promote our fantastic town, local businesses and facilities than with a premier sporting event such as this.”
Deniliquin Golf Club general manager Sophie Kelly reiterated the importance of the event for the region.
“With the generous funding support from Edward River Council, we can attract key events such as the Pro-Am and ensure they become regular events on the golfing calendar that people return to again and again.
“I have no doubt that players and spectators will want to come back to Deniliquin once they experience everything that the club and the town has to offer.”
Players can participate in the Pro-Am by joining the morning session for just $50 per person.
For those interested in the afternoon play, individual spots are $80, subject to availability, while teams can secure a hole sponsorship for $550, giving them first preference in the afternoon time slots.
