The sessions start at 8.45am and finish at 3.15pm, and are open to any child attending school this year.
Program co-ordinator John Arthur said the program includes a variety of sports drills, competitive games, skill-specific activities, and more.
“The kids always have a lot of fun. It will include all different sports activities, especially basketball and dodgeball.
“We also do a host of other sports, including soccer, cricket, super frisbee and gymnastics, which the kids love.”
A key part of the program is the coordinated active fun that takes care of the kids for the day.
The weather outside may be cold and wet during the winter school holidays, but all activities are indoors.
“The kids are not going to get sunburnt or be out in the rain. The program makes the kids active, and I guarantee that the kids will sleep well that night.“
The attending children must bring morning tea, lunch and a drink bottle. The cost is $40 per day with discounts for families with multiple children attending.
