This high-intensity racquet sport enhances cardiovascular fitness, improves agility, and strengthens muscles, making it an excellent workout.
The quick pace and strategic nature of squash also boost mental sharpness, enhancing concentration and decision-making skills.
Squash is also a lot of fun, providing a great opportunity for social interaction, fostering community and teamwork among players.
Regular participation can help reduce stress and anxiety, promoting overall wellbeing.
The Deniliquin RSL Squash Club runs competitions three times a year - in autumn, winter and spring.
Player interest is now being taken for the soon-to-start spring competition.
Games are played Monday nights at the Deniliquin RSL Sports Complex in Duncan St, from 6.30pm.
New and visiting players are invited to attend these nights to gain experience, meet players or learn how to play. All levels of players welcome.
The club competition format is a timed format of 12 minute halves with a point per rally.
The club also participates in the region based Inter-Town Squash winter competition each year. This is a monthly home and away competition.
Games are held on a Sunday against clubs such as Hay, Finley, Echuca, Shepparton, Cohuna and others.
