They were among 25 from Deniliquin High that travelled to Albury on August 9.
The school said all 25 students who attended were “outstanding ambassadors for the school and gave their best in all events”.
Those who placed first or second in their events progress through to the NSW Combined High Schools Athletics Championship, which will be held at the Sydney Athletic Centre from Wednesday, September 11, to Friday, September 13.
There were several exceptional results from the Deni High School contingent.
It included a new Riverina record in the 15 years boys shot put by Australian under-16s athletics champion Connor ‘CJ’ Wilson. He managed 16.68m.
Some of the outstanding results were as follows:
• Ella Charlton - 12 years girls 800m, 3:00.43 (2nd).
• Amelia Smith - 13 years girls Shot Put, 8.16m (2nd).
• Emma Wettenhall -13 years girls 100m, 14.54 (2nd); High Jump, 1.40m (1st).
• Jake Harvey - 14 years boys Shot Put, 9.22m (1st).
• Connor Wilson -15 years boys Javelin, 41.54m (1st); Discus, 45.13m (1st); Shot Put, 16.68m (1st).
• Willow Lake -16 years girls 200m, 27.45 (2nd); 100m, 13.70 (2nd); Shot Put, 9.21 (2nd).
• Remi Baulch -16 years girls 800m, 2:42.13 (2nd); 400m, 66.51 (1st); 1500m, 5:37.01 (1st); Javelin, 23.96m (1st).
• Lily Donald -16-19 years girls Javelin Multi-Class, 5.79m.
• Darby Watson -17 years boys 800m, 2:20.74 (1st).
• 16 years girls 4x100m Relay - Remi Baulch, Pippa Wilson, Elka Connolly and Willow Lake, 56.54 (2nd).
