The Deniliquin Boat club was a hive of activity on Friday night, with people enjoying drinks and food at the club rooms, and enjoying the serenity of the Edward River.

Kids enjoyed the weekly craft table and the delicious ice-cream served by Tubby.
As for Ski School, both the beginner boat and advanced boat were fully booked.
A special thank you to siblings Leigh and Carissa Holmberg who manned the beginner boat ROLCO.
Both Leigh and Carissa are extremely patient, calm and show positivity. They make the young kids feel safe and supported, whilst building their knowledge, confidence and skills when using the seahorse, boom bar and skiing behind the boat.
Thank you also to Andrew McBurnie who drove the advanced boat Gilflite, and to his observer Debbie Jennings.
I would like to share two success stories this week.
Firstly, I would like to acknowledge adult skier Michael Heuer who is new to the club this season.
Michael likes to be daring and try new things. He started off on double skies prior to Christmas.
Within four weeks, Michael was up and skiing on a slalom ski.
His rapid progress and adventurous spirit are truly inspiring - definitely something to celebrate at the boat club.
Onlookers at Ski School are very proud of Michael’s success.
Secondly, I would like to give a special mention to ongoing Ski School participant Kayleah Harvey.
Kayleah has been attempting to ski on one ski for a few weeks.
On Friday night she gracefully managed to slalom ski with the guidance and support from observer and coach Debbie Jennings.
Onlookers on the bank were very excited to witness Kayleah slalom ski back to the bank.
She sure did have a big smile on her face and was stoked with her achievement.
Kayleah’s mum was exceptionally proud of her daughter’s impressive milestone. It is great to see her skill and determination pay off.
Ski School would also like to thank Wayne Leydon for donating a number of life jackets, ski pants, wetsuits, an assortment of ropes and handles and double/single skis.
Wayne's generous contribution is truly valued and will benefit the our Ski School participants.
