The evening air was filled with laughter, as children were socialising with friends and having lots of fun in the water.
A reminder that all children must wear a life jacket when in the boat, swimming in the water or playing on the river bank.
Parents are also required to actively supervise their child whenever they are in or near the water.
The beginner boat Rolco was fully booked.
I would like to acknowledge and say a massive thanks to Chrissy Hurst for her dedication as an observer on the night.
Her patience, empathy, and nurturing nature is invaluable. Chrissy wasn't afraid to jump in and out of the boat attaching the sea horse (teaching aid).
She made kids feel safe and at ease in the water and gave clear instructions on how to position their skis.
This week’s award was presented to Hugo Leech.
He has built up his courage to start crossing back and forth across the wake, rather than staying in the middle.
Thank you to Leigh Holmberg and Kevin de Kryger for driving Rolco.
The advanced boat Gilflite was also fully booked.
It was great to see some adults booked in for a chance to experience life gliding across the water.
Michael Heuer, who is 22 and had never skied before, showed his skills by successfully mastering two skis.
It is clear that Michael is now 'in the zone' to water ski and is booked in again this week.
Thank you to drivers Bernie Biggs and Steve Spiers, and to observer Lisa Priest.
I would like to thank Brett Sands Watersports in Moama, who kindly donated two kids sized lifejackets to the club this week.
This was a nice gesture and very much appreciated.
A big thank you also to Subway in Deniliquin, who kindly offered to donate Subway vouchers for our skiers - another act demonstrating goodwill and kindness.
Coinciding with Ski School tonight is the Murray to Moyne fundraising night, starting at 5.30pm.
There will be live music from Echuca's Jaymi Clancy, a silent auction, a raffle and Tiamo Twin Flame Woodfire Pizza will be cooking up a storm.
Lick It Quick will also be serving icecream.
Proceeds from this night will contribute to the purchase of wish list items to improve patient care at Deniliquin Hospital.
Next weekend we look forward to the 'Deni Wakemuster'.
Wakeboard Victoria will hold rounds two and three of their competition on December 7 and 8.
This will be an exciting event and spectators are welcome to come and watch some of the best wakeboard riders in Victoria.
Keep an eye out on the Deniliquin Boat Club Facebook page for further information.
