The award is for the netball club with the highest tally of points by a club in a season.
Rovers netball co-ordinator Nicole Jenkins accepted the award on behalf of the club and said “we were very lucky to have a consistent season”.
“We built on our strengths and assembled committees to establish a well developed junior rebuilding process,” she said.
“All the netball coaches, players and team managers, netball committee members and volunteers, this is for you.
“With our clear netball processes and procedures in place to guide us, and a culture of supporting each other, we have yet again had success week in, week out this season.”
Looking forward to next season, Jenkins believes the club would stick to the plans they already have in place, which have served them well.
But she said the club may look improve further by putting strategies in place focusing on the psychological side of finals pressure for players and coaches alike.
“These tools, combined with our development program so far, should translate to improved finals success next season,” Jenkins said.
