The Deni Rhinos’ under-13s White team started their season with a home game against Tocumwal last week.

The young Rhinos won the toss and elected to bat, posting a total of 10/70 from 20 overs.
Highlights of the Rhinos innings were a number of cracking fours from both Jacob Holschier and Tom Marshall, with both players topping the scoreboard with 11 and 10 runs respectively.
Hunter Campbell and Fletcher Smith also made five runs a piece.
Hunter remained not out at the end of the innings, continuing his solid batting form from last season.
Tocumwal took to the crease and came out firing with 34 runs on the board by part way through the sixth over.
It looked like they might reach the required runs easily, but young Charlie Tremble took the Rhinos first wicket near the end of the sixth over. Jacob Holschier then knocked over the stumps on his first ball of the seventh.
The Tocumwal run rate slowed considerably across the middle of the innings with maiden overs to Rhinos debutant Henry Campion and Connor Sampson, Hunter Campbell and Charlie Tremble.
The Rhinos’ consistent bowling and regular wickets saw the game come down to the very last over with Tocumwal needing seven runs to win.
The Tocumwal batters got the job done, finishing the innings at 8/78.
Jacob Holschier and Charlie Tremble both ended with two wickets each, and other wickets to Connor Sampson, Fletcher Smith and Henry Pisasale.
The Rhinos can be proud of their efforts, and there is a lot to look forward to in the games to come.
Charlie Tremble was awarded the That Pizza Coach’s Award for his fantastic first game, bowling figures of 2/7 off two overs.

U13 Red
The under-13s Red team rode the wave of the club’s success with an opening round win at Finley High School last Friday night.
The Red Rhinos met Katunga in an exciting game, with three players making their debut to the under-13s format.
The Red Rhinos won the toss and chose to bowl first.
Angus Henderson debuted with accurate bowling, displaying great natural ability to bowl good length.
George Bull opened his account for the Red Rhinos with his first wicket which also produced a catch for debutant Isaac Tubb.
George also produced a maiden over.
Ned Wettenhall continued his amazing bowling form from last season with two maiden overs and a beautiful delivery to knock over the stumps in his second over.
Red Ricon produced some of his magic, bowling out two batsmen in his second over.
Under-13s debutant Jaxon Rothe also produced two outstanding maiden overs.
Run-outs involving James Armytage and Joe Holden made for an exciting finish to Katunga’s innings, in which they scored 7/70.
Daniel Burn and James Armytage opened the Red Rhinos’ innings with solid defence, and then both settled to score freely and both openers made several good shots.
Daniel practised his pull shots and produced three excellent boundaries, while James cracked a convincing boundary over cow corner.
Both retired not out, Daniel on 19 and James on 6.
Angus and Jaxon also retired not out, both making several good scoring shots including a dashing boundary from Jaxon.
Ollie Bull and Red Ricon fell victim to accurate bowling from Jacob Heyen of Katunga, and they were bowled out in consecutive balls.
Ned also remained not out, continuing his good batting form from last season.
The Red Rhinos finished their innings with the figures of 4/77 - a good start to the season.
Coach Jim McDonald gave the That Pizza coaching award to James Armytage, who displayed great enthusiasm and intent through the match.
