This leaves the Rhinos with three wins, one loss, and one no result heading into round six of the Murray Valley Cricket Association season, and sitting third on the A-grade ladder with 21 points.
However, tomorrow the Rhinos are away from home facing the Berrigan Saints.
The Saints are fifth on the ladder, with two wins and three losses.
The Rhinos are yet to prove they can win away from home, with their one loss coming away against Nathalia and by just one wicket.
Their wins have been at home against Barooga, Finley and Tocumwal.
Berrigan have also had wins against Finley and Tocumwal, with losses to Nathalia, Barooga and Cobram.
In the corresponding one-day match at Berrigan last year, the Saints won the toss and batted first, making 222 all out from their 45 overs.
The Saints’ middle order of Jacob Bartlett (50 off 86), Matthew Ross (50 off 41) and Brady Bartlett (52 off 52) led the way for the Saints with Andrew Hogan’s figures of 3-32 off nine overs the best for the Rhinos with the rest of the wickets spread between five other bowlers.
In reply, the Rhinos managed 161 all out with Boddie Arthur top scoring with 83 off 92 balls but ran out of partners with the team falling 61 runs short after 36 overs with nine overs remaining.
For the Saints, Brady Bartlett was the primary wicket taker, taking 5-31 off nine overs with Matthew Ross the other multiple wicket taker, finishing with figures of 2-39 also off nine overs.
Both teams will see the game as a must-win.
The Rhinos could possibly drop back to fourth with a loss, creating congestion around the middle of the ladder, while a Saints defeat could potentially see them drop as low as seventh.
C-grade:
The Rhinos return after a bye this week against Strathmerton, at Memorial Park tomorrow from 1pm.
The undefeated Rhinos’ C-grade team sits in second place on the ladder to first-placed Nathalia, but beat Nathalia in their last game.
Strathmerton has only managed one win, but will be looking to take a scalp against the reigning premiers.
Junior cricket:
The under-15s continue their two-dayer away against Barooga tomorrow, resuming their bowling innings with Barooga 0-11 chasing the Rhinos score of 109 off 36 overs.
The under-13s Rhinos Red were scheduled to play against Berrigan yesterday afternoon at Memorial Park.
In the same competition, the Rhinos White play this afternoon at 5pm against Strathmerton at Memorial Park.
The under-11s competitions and Rhinos Blast also continue this afternoon.
The under-17s two-dayers continue today with Barooga setting a target of 155 off 38 overs against Katunga, and Nathalia made 124 off 39 overs against Cobram.
As there were not enough players to field a Rhinos team, Deni players play in this competition with other clubs.
