The Deniliquin High School Parents & Citizens (P&C) Face The Tee golf fundraising event is one of two major fundraisers held by the committee each year.
It will be held from 11am on Sunday, November 3, for a shot gun start at 11.30am.
The event will take on a four person ambrose style of play for the day, with the cost being $30 per person.
Funds raised will be used to purchase items for the school not usually covered by funding, and players of all skill and experience levels are encouraged to get involved.
Register your team, or as an individual to be placed in a team, by calling the Deniliquin Golf Club’s Pro Shop on 5881 3333.
P&C member Leanne Mulham said other fun activities have been planned as part of the day, including the $1000 ball drop.
“We encourage people to buy a ball and, at the end of the golf event, the numbered balls will be dropped from a height. The ball closest to the hole, or in the hole, will receive a cash prize,” she siad.
“Other prizes will also be available. We hope this gives everyone the opportunity to support our efforts even if they are not available to play golf on the day.

Mulham said this year’s wish list items amount to $30,000, with the golf day adding to funds raised by P&C members and volunteers who manned the Deni Ute Muster breathalizer tent, grants and donations from the Deniliquin RSL Club, Deniliquin Truck Show committee and the Deniliquin Debutante Ball.
The wish list includes 12 items, with some of the larger amounts including $4500 for technological and applied studies department equipment, $4671 for a gel electrophoresis kit for the science department, $3800 for the breakfast program and $4000 for the homework centre.
Anyone interested in joining the Deni High P&C is invited to attend this Wednesday’s general meeting, held from 5.30pm at the school’s main office.
