A fun game where all were laughing as balls missed targets and rebounds were anyone’s guess. The match was always going to be a strong contest against a great Rovers side.

B-grade: Deni Rovers 65 def Blighty 15.
With everyone shivering and trying to avoid the horrible wind, it was bound to be a challenging game. Well done to the girls on doing their best and having fun out there on the court.

C-grade: Deni Rovers 86 def Blighty 2.
The team put in a tremendous effort adjusting their game to the wind however Blighty’s ladies came up against a strong well-oiled team. Despite their efforts the turnovers and game play from Blighty wasn’t resulting in goals.

C-reserve: Deni Rovers 59 def Blighty 4.
A tough game out in the weather against Rovers, which definitely made the game more difficult and harder to enjoy. Blighty’s ladies held their heads high and continued to make Deni Rovers work for their results.

Under-17s: Deni Rovers 31 def Blighty 21.
The Redeyes met long time rivals Rovers on Saturday, with challenging weather and bitterly cold winds making it a nightmare for the shooters.
The Redeyes came out firing in the first quarter taking the lead at quarter time, the next quarter caused havoc due to the wind on the grandstand end, with the shooters doing the best they could.
Milly Hanmer came up from the under-15s with impressive form for a youngster and dominated in defence.
Teammate Ruby Pisasale was also solid in defence making it hard for the Rovers shooters all game.
It was a very even contest the entire game, however Rovers managed to add to their score after half-time and the Redeyes despite best efforts couldn’t take the lead.
Dakota McKenzie was encouraging all day and pushed hard to create turnovers.
Chelsea Singleton attacked strongly and also played confidently.
Despite not getting a win, the Blighty girls put up a good fight and hope to build on those efforts for another win before the end of the season.

Under-15s: Deni Rovers 48 def Blighty 4.
The u15s had a tough match against the old rivals last weekend. With all the girls being friends the goal this week was to have fun, no matter what the score was.
The teams defenders worked hard all game, all them deserving of an award, but Ivy Ball was a stand out. No matter what position she is asked to play, she will put in 100 per cent.
Gwen Gazzara always puts in her best, however this week she was particularly good, having a run at goal attack and surprising all with her movement.
Her hard work paying dividends as she couldn’t get the smile off her face after her goal.

Under-13s: Deni Rovers 18 def Blighty 5.
In very windy and cold conditions Blighty’s u13s took to the court against Rovers.
After a three week break the girls were eager to play their best netball.
Defensive pressure resulted in multiple turnovers however inaccurate passes led to turnovers down the court.
The wind made scoring hard to come by however all players worked tirelessly against a strong Rovers team.

Under-11s: Not scored.
Coming back after a two week break to brave the cold, the girls did well.
With minis day celebrations to look forward to, the girls played an amazing game.
Carla Brown was pivotal in defence, keeping her players out of the game.
Georgie Butcher worked well in attack creating space and driving to the pass.
Indi Bain worked great across the whole court, directing the play and using give and go.
