The Rams have had a fair run of form coming into the back end of the season.
They have had three wins on the trot and have just made their way into the top six on the Murray Football League’s senior ladder.
Hosting Moama, who they beat earlier in the year at Moama, Deni will be hoping to continue that run of form and make it four wins from their last four games played.
In their last meeting in round three, it was a tight game but the Rams won convincingly, 10.15 (75) to 3.10 (28).
Tomorrow’s result is going to be particularly important for both sides.
A win for Deni would solidify their spot in the six, while a win for Moama would cement the Magpies in the top two.
Moama have seemingly flipped the switch since the last time the two sides met, only dropping two games, collecting a draw and seven victories.
Rams seniors coach Gary Parsons indicated that a “team effort will be key” and he will be expecting “a real evenness across the ground from the whole group”.
“We can only go off of the previous match up, and we like to think we can emulate the quality of our play from then,” he said.
“It can be hard to tell at that time of year (early in the season); they could well have had a number of players out.”
While not wanting to get ahead of themselves, Parsons said the Rams are always competitive against Moama and “always like to turn up and play”.
The seniors clash will begin at 3pm.
With the Deniliquin Rams’ Ladies Day kicking off an hour earlier, there will be a bolstered crowd cheering the home side on.
