The weather was not on our side, and our usual fast-paced game was forced to slow down.

However, a lack of concentration in the second quarter allowed Tongala to put their foot down, extending their lead significantly—a gap we couldn’t recover from.

Despite the challenging circumstances, Katie Arandt displayed grit and determination in defence, making crucial stops and supporting her teammates.

Mia Parks battled hard all day, working tirelessly to contribute while keeping her emotions in check.

Dakota Mitsch was stealthy, creating opportunities for her team.

Overall, it was a hard-fought match, but Tonny was too classy.

The Rams C-Reserve side faced a tough challenge against top-of-the-ladder Tongala in wet conditions, ultimately losing.

Despite the scoreline, several players delivered commendable performances.

Carla Crossley was a calming presence in Centre, earning her a well-deserved award. Chloe Barwick stood out for her tireless efforts, consistently backing up play across the court.

Sami Davies, who moved into defence, had a brilliant game, picking up crucial turnovers and rebounds.

Tameka MacDonald’s return added a boost, with her excellent feeding into the circle making a noticeable impact.

A special mention goes to the under-15 girls who stepped up to bolster the team.

Phoebe Newman and Lucy Crossley were excellent in the ring, scoring much-needed goals, while Bella Hillier applied pressure in defence, disrupting the opposition shooters.

In a challenging match played in wet weather, the conditions made for a slow-paced game, leading to a few uncharacteristic ball-handling errors from both teams.

However, the second quarter saw Sophie Tilders find her rhythm in the shooting circle, effectively getting the scoreline ticking over as she capitalised on her opportunities.

Eliza Atley was a standout player in defence, taking multiple intercepts that disrupted the opposition’s flow.

Her defensive efforts were crucial in maintaining pressure throughout the match.

Meanwhile, Emma Parks returned to her usual skilful self, showcasing her agility and precision that helped her team regain momentum as the game progressed.

Despite the wet weather, we took the win convincingly.

Under-15s: Deni Rams 24 def by Tongala 37.

The girls made the trip in miserable conditions on Saturday to take on second-placed Tongala.

Wet weather conditions made for a slower-paced game, but the girls adjusted well with good ball handling in the wet.

Georgia Henderson took to the court in the second half and applied consistent defensive pressure and great drive through the attacking centre court.

Similarly, Lucy Crossley and Phoebe Newman displayed impressive skills in the wet, demonstrating good composure throughout a high-pressure match.

The team, again, displayed pressure for the entire four quarters but went down in the end by 13 goals.

Under-13s: Deni Rams 18 def by Tongala 27.

Not ideal conditions this week, but the girls took it all in their stride.

Defensively, the girls were strong, making Tongala work hard for every ball.

Lara Redden took multiple intercepts and rebounds throughout the game.

Our goal end saw Lexi Butcher and Arielle Hillier work together with smart movement off the ball.

Under-11s: Not scored.

The girls played really well considering the cold and wet conditions and were able to get several goals in despite some excellent defence.

Stella Butcher played well in each position and made herself available for every pass.

Harriet Maher was consistent as always and showed her dominance in offence and defence.

Claire Menadue and Chloe Marshall paired well together, which earned them an award each.

Overall, it was another great game by the girls, who have all improved so much.
