Rams convincing on the court

Nathalia came out firing and took a seven-goal lead going into the first break.

The girls were able to peg this lead back due to the fantastic footwork and defensive pressure of Eve Gregor, Eloise Ritchie, Min Seignior and Ava Richards.

Steph Birk, Emma Parks and Ella Harvey fed the goalers beautifully and were able to convert off intercept balls, putting pressure on the scoreboard.

Bonnie Everett once again displayed how versatile she can be in the goal ring, combining well with Rhiannan Maxwell. It was an awesome four-quarter, full-team effort.

B-grade showcased their ability to regain control of the game after a slow start.

Leah Blake entered the court in the second quarter and dominated the goal circle, working effectively with Amber Farley and Kate McCalman.

Midcourters Macie Free, Steph Birk, and Kate Westcott maintained pressure throughout the match, demonstrating patience and precision in their feeds.

Alana Tyndall earned the best-on-court award for her vocal leadership and positivity.

At the same time, she and her defensive partner, Elle Panton, created numerous intercepts, helping to extend their lead over Nathalia.

The team started strong and displayed a solid, consistent performance, wearing down the opposition with their skill and determination.

Each player’s unwavering effort and teamwork led to a dominant display on the court, securing a well-deserved victory.

The junior member of the team, Shontai O’Callaghan, played with confidence and skills beyond her years.

Meanwhile, Mia Parks made a significant contribution, demonstrating a new understanding of her role on the court.

Another midcourter, Dakota Mitsch, also performed exceptionally well this week. All three, along with their teammates, are beginning to build some strong on-court connections.

The under-17s started the game slowly but gained momentum in the second half.

The team showed determination and resilience as they battled to find consistency.

Despite the sluggish start, there were elements of slick skills and teamwork throughout the match.

Ultimately, the consistent performance in the second half made all the difference, leading to a win.

Ava Richards’ vision was impeccable, Emma Parks led from the front with calmness and patience, and Eliza Atley highlighted her versatility.

It was a great win for the under-15s trumping Nathalia.

The girls consolidated what we had practised at training this week.

Our midcourt was dominated by Macy Butcher, who showed composure and patience.

Defence rotations provided multiple turnovers and transitioned into attack.

Bella Hillier and Hannah McBurnie’s work effort pushed 100 per cent.

This was a tough game from start to finish. Our girls had some really great passages of play and should be very proud of their efforts.

Arielle Hillier was fabulous in her 50th club game, taking some all-important intercepts and showing she can play anywhere.

Lara Redden showed her ability to stay composed, shooting accurately and gaining rebounds when needed.

Sophie Pearn was focused and determined, working tirelessly against a strong Nathalia midcourt.

Even though the opposition was strong, they young Rams played as a team and matched the opposition in all areas of the court.

Aysha Bartlett was a standout in all positions she played and showed her skills in attack and defence.

Maggie Burge debuted with the Rams and stepped up beautifully, earning herself an award and standing in as captain.
