Rams celebrate club achievements

Sam Lloyd was named the Senior Best & Fairest for the Deni Rams and Leading Goal Kicker.

The Deniliquin Rams Football & Netball Club held its senior Brownlow Night on Friday, crowning the best & fairest in each grade, as well as recognising all those individuals who do so much for the club.

Liam Pitts won the most coveted of the special awards, being named the Ram of the Year for his contributions to the club across the year.

Alana Tyndall was awarded the Loris Wills Junior Umpire Encouragement Award.

There were two Senior Club Person of the Year awards handed out, one to Tony Marshall and another to Michael Todd.

Each was rewarded for their continued support throughout the season around the club.

Eliza Newman was named the Junior Club Person of the Year for all of her work with the junior part of the club.

Corrine Mitsch was recognised for her leadership in the club when she was presented with the Cyril Pitts Award and the Outstanding Contributions to Coaching Award.

Another special presentation made on the night was to Clint Free, who was bestowed life membership (more on this honour in Friday’s Pastoral Times).

Netball

C-reserve: Best & Fairest - Lauren Ryan; Best & Fairest Runner-Up - Julia Druitt; Coach’s Award - Ayla Nganeko; Players’ Player - Tayla Dowsett.

C-grade: Best & Fairest - Lucy Pitt; Best & Fairest Runner-Up - Stella White; Best in Finals - Lucy Pitt; Most Consistent - Ellie Parks and Felicity Jefferies; Players’ Player - Katie Arandt.

B-grade: Best & Fairest - Leah Blake; Best & Fairest Runner-Up - Alana Tyndall; Best in Finals - Leah Blake and Alana Tyndall; Most Consistent - Elle Panton; Players’ Player - Kate McCalman.

A-grade: Best & Fairest - Rhiannan Maxwell; Best & Fairest Runner-Up - Ella Harvey; Best in Finals - Eliza Eastman; Rookie of the Year - Bonnie Everett; Coach’s Award - Bonnie Everett; Players’ Player - Amelia Seignior.

Reserves: Best & Fairest - Ben East; Best & Fairest Runner-Up - Jack Hay; Leading Goal Kicker - Ben Nisbet; Most Consistent - Miller Fitzpatrick; Best Team Man - Kai Hillier; Encouragement - Noah Bradley; Coach’s Award - Darcy Cullenward; Best in Finals - Jack Tyndall.

Cable Fitzpatrick was awarded the Most Consistent award last Friday night.
Noah Bradley was awarded the 1st Year Rookie Award.
Todd Gallagher was the winner of the Best in Finals award.

Rhiannan Maxwell was the A-Grade netball Best & Fairest for the Deni Rams.
Ella Harvey was the Runner-Up Best & Fairest in the A-Grade team.
Bonnie Everett was the Rookie of the Year, she also won the Coaches Award.
Ben East was named the Reserve's Best and Fairest.
Jack Hay was named the Reserve's Runner-Up Best & Fairest on Friday night.
Miller Fitzpatrick was awarded the Most Consistent award for the Reserve's.

Jack Tyndall was named Best in Finals for the Reserve's side.
Leah Blake who was named the B-Grade Netball Best and Fairest.

Felicity Jefferies and Ellie Parkes were joint winners of the Most Consistent award in the C-Grade team.
Katie Arandt was the C-Grade's Players Player for the season.
