It was great to welcome and meet new families who were amazed by how Ski School runs every Friday night.
Many kids were eager to become a member and join up on the spot.
Thank you to our boat drivers, Leigh Holmberg, Bryce Horne and Bernie Biggs, and to observers Carissa Holmberg and Debbie Jennings.
Your ongoing commitment and dedication as Ski School volunteers is truly appreciated.
Henry Pearce was given an award for building up the courage to have a go on the U-shaped trainer - more commonly referred to as the ‘ducky board’.
This trainer is very sturdy and easy for kids to get up on, even at idle speeds.
It is like a cross between a sled and trainer skis.
Henry was pretty proud of his efforts and returned to the bank with a big smile on his face.
We are excited about the return of the Victorian Barefoot Waterski Club on March 7 and 8.
The team plan to put their boat in the river on the Friday evening at 5pm and adults and kids are welcome to 'come and try' barefooting.
This is an opportunity not to be missed.
The Deni Boat Club is also planning to hold an 'Adult Ski Day' (German theme) on Sunday, March 16 - you must be a member of the Boat Club to ski.
Keep an eye on our Facebook page for further information and updates.
