It was another warm afternoon of netball, the first quarter set the tone, with high-intensity play that was thrilling yet a little erratic at times.
Despite this, we went into the break holding the lead.
Our focus was on refining our game to achieve smooth transitions and strong connections, a style of play we aspired to throughout.
After regrouping at quarter time, the second and third quarters reflected a much-improved performance.
Our efforts were rewarded as we widened the lead.
The fourth quarter brought challenges with fatigue creeping in, but the team held strong until the final whistle.
Defensive stars Ella Park and Eve Gregor impressed with their graceful movement, contesting every high ball and dominating rebounds at every opportunity.
Their reliability and consistency were essential in keeping the opposition at bay.
Meanwhile, Bonnie Everett was a formidable target in the shooting circle.
Bonnie's commanding presence, rebounding prowess, and adaptive positioning were standout elements of her game over the last two weeks.
The week's highlight was seeing our younger netballers step up to gain senior experience.
Aysha Mitsch, Molly Bradley, and Shontai O'Callaghan took to the court, with Molly and Shontai celebrating their A-grade debuts.
Their performances were a glimpse into the promising future for the club.

Another close game for the Rams B-grade side coming off a one goal win last week.
The girls worked tirelessly in the heat for four quarters, Katie Arandt was solid in defence, making the Finley goalscorers work hard for possession.
Dakota Mitsch displayed speed through the mid-court and accuracy with her feeds into the circle, Tess Parsons had a consistent four quarters and a strong game in goals.
The girls fought hard until the end but went down by three goals at the final whistle.

An amazing game and first win of the season for the team.
A strong start kicked off a competitive game between the two teams.
The third quarter saw all three McCalmans take the court - thanks Kate for filling in for us.
The shooters had a great game, both getting some ripper goals in.
Big well done to Rose Nevinson who had her best game of the season.
Defence girls Jade Hussey and Eliza Atley worked so well together, getting some great turnovers which took the lead out to six goals in the end.

Under-17s: Deni Rams 57 def Finley 39.
On another hot day for netball, the Rams under-17s came out slow and steady in the first quarter.
The defensive combination of Alice Circuitt and Ava Marshall provided many turnovers, allowing for lots of goal scoring opportunities for the Rams.
Transition into attack was made simple through Zoe Circuitt, with fast drives into the circle and accurate feeds to the goalscorers.
Our goalscorers continued to demonstrate their impressive positioning and accuracy at goal.

Under-15s: Finley 28 def Rams 22.
The under-15s had a closely contested game against Finley.
They worked hard for four quarters, but went down by six goals.
Emma Wettenhall had a great game, providing strong leads through the mid-court and accurate passes into the goalscorers.
Brydey Maher read the play well in defence, getting hands to many balls and numerous intercepts.
Lexi Butcher played consistently all game, making good space in attack.

Under-13s: Rams 32 def Finley 14.
The under-13s girls set the tone early, getting a few goals early as the attack line was linking up beautifully.
They then capitalised on being first to all the loose balls, working as a team and having one another's backs.
The girls had improvements all over the court this week, which was wonderful to see.
Lexi Maher was a workhorse in attack and defence, combining well with her shooters.
Both shooters were always worthy award winners, as they both brought each other into the game and moved seamlessly in the ring together.
