In Weekend Pennant, the Division 2 side played at Rochester and was defeated, 41-62.
Craig Taylor led his side to the only rink victory for RSL, with Rochester claiming an emphatic win overall in the season opener.
Deni RSL division two team will play Moama Steamers Green in Moama.
RSL’s Division 3 team also went down in their weekend pennant game, against strong Echuca combinations.
Echuca claimed all three rinks to produce a final score of 74 to defeat Deni on 24.

Midweek Pennant
Deni RSL fielded teams in three divisions, but forfeited the Division 5 game against Rochester on Tuesday.
Division 2 played Rochester in a tight contest.
Getting off to a slow start in their first rink, Deni’s other two teams took off and outscored Rochester overall, 67-51.
Linda Harris and Craig Taylor leading the way with comprehensive wins on their respective rinks.
The Division 3 team played at home against Tongala Red.
Red were simply too good for Deni on the day, eventually walking away with a comfortable 49-34 win.
The Ron Marchetti combination the best performing of the two RSL sides.
The Deni RSL Bowling Club welcomes new bowlers this season, with Peter and Brian Wilson and John Hulm joining the ranks.
