The club will have their barbecue cranked up so dinner will be all sorted, and EFTPOS facilities are available for those who forget to bring cash.
While weekly meets are going ahead, Deniliquin Little Athletics has had to postone its annual carnival date to Sunday, November 20.
The day’s activities will start at 10am.
“The committee felt that all communities in this area, including Deniliquin, need more time to dry out and get past the rain events and associated flooding,” Leanne Mulham said.
“The club hopes this will give the region’s clubs a chance to get their season up and running and encourage their new members to give the athletics carnivals a try.
“As recent successful recipients of an Edward River Council Community grant to assist funding the annual athletics carnival, the event will now have a reduced entry fee and extra activities will be provided on the day.
“With a new date, the committee is hoping conditions improve so visitors can relax, explore Deniliquin and enjoy the local carnival.”
