Barooga jumped the Rams in the first quarter, showing a harder attack on the ball and taking a 14-point lead at the first break.
Deni couldn’t get their game going and the Hawks took advantage in the second quarter, outworking the Rams and adding four goals for the quarter while holding the Rams to just one point.
The team was asked to lift in the third and while there was some improvement early, the confident Hawks were scoring far too easily and piled on another four goals in the third quarter and then six more in the final quarter to run out big winners.
The Rams have the bye this week and will need to bounce back and improve their work rate and consistency if they are going to make a push for the finals.

Under-12s:
The u12s took on a tough Echuca side on Friday night at the Hardinge St Oval.
The Bombers did not waste any time, winning every ball out of the middle and showing plenty of class as they kicked five goals to nothing in the opening quarter.
Rams received a stern talking to at the quarter time break and plenty of advice from captain Tom Marshall. The second quarter saw most of the play in the Rams forward line, Rocky Sztejman kicked a cracking goal and unfortunately Bombers equalized with one right on the siren.
The third quarter got away from Rams again with three goals to nothing, despite plenty of pressure from full back Jacob Holschier.
The boys were on fire in the last. Jaxon Rothe took a spectacular mark in the middle of the goal square and kicked one through.
Well done also to Will Crossley who enjoyed his spot in the forward line this week and kicked his first goal the season.
Final score: Bombers 11.9 (75) def Rams 3.1 (19).
The Rams will have a bye this weekend, and will then play away in Elmore on July 14.

Under-10s:
The Lambs made a triumphant return to the Hardinge St oval, which had soaked up the rain fairly well by the time the boys ran out at 10am.
In chilly conditions the youngest Rams continued their improved running football, giving handballs where they could to bring their teammates into the game against the visiting St Augustine Yellows.
Cooper Farley was one of the Rams' better players, bobbing up for a crucial goal and celebrating accordingly by collecting the Rams Beanie award.
Jasper Dellwo continued his strong form, following on from his snap goal last week, he collected the BOG Wired Entertainment honours.
Other inspired performances came from James Massingham (Surdex Steel award) and Gus Browne (McDonald's), who continue to improve each week, and it shows Coach Eastman's training regime is definitely paying dividends for his young charges.
Jed Fitzmaurice and Oli Hall also made a strong contribution, with two goals each in a low-scoring match, while in-form goal sneaks Ned Hussey and Charlie Eastman kicked one each.
