The Sunset Statues 3 race began from alongside the Cobb Hwy between Deniliquin and Hay with the event rescheduled to Monday, July 29, after poor weekend weather.
Seven trainers released 118 birds at 11am, which then made their way back to their trainers’ lofts.
Kyabram’s King recorded his second win of the 2024 North series with a velocity of 1069.02 metres per minutes, narrowly edging out Peter White who finished second with a velocity of 1065.36.
It was an all-Kyabram top three as Gary Rayner (1062.91) claimed third position while Lancaster’s Jim Arthur (1032.81) was fourth.
The field was rounded out by Kyabram’s John Carroll (1023.49), Kouga’s David Hutchison (968.361) and Koyuga’s R. Fynch (410.17).
