Having the hole toward the back of the green did not worry Jane, who struck her ‘ace’ and, naturally, also took out the Golden Hole jackpot.

On Saturday there was a stableford competition, with A-grader Jarod Sommerfeld the top performer with a magnificent one under par round to give him 43 stableford points off a handicap of six.
Ross Taylor was A-grade runner-up with 37.
In B-grade, Peter Oddy had 37 points to win on countback to Neil Boswell, in C-grade Felicity McCalman had 37 from Brian Dixon 36, and in D-grade Jennifer Adamson had 40 points, from runner-up Ben Littman 37.
The Nisbet Mixed Knockout was played on Sunday, won by Stephen Townsend and Pauline Sherwin who scored 46 points, one ahead of runners-up Jen Choice and Ross Pogonoski. The top eight pairs qualify for the next round.
Wednesday’s stableford event was won in A-grade by Josh Hunt with 39 points from Chris Thomson 37, and in B-grade the winner was Albert Liebenberg 38 by a shot to Anthony Erickson.
Coming up this week we have a stroke event and men’s monthly medal tomorrow, and the ladies monthly medal on Thursday, with ladies nine holes on Tuesday and men’s stableford on Wednesday. Next Saturday is a 4BBB stableford.
Don’t forget the raffles and meals tonight. Raffle tickets are on sale from 6pm with draws at 7.30pm, and excellent meals are available for a reasonable price.
