There were two groups of two-game winners, with Noel Murray, Tony King and Ken ‘Titch’ Salter the best of them with a plus 36 shot differential.
Only two shots adrift was the combination of Harry Lea, Craig Murray and Mark Quor in second place.
Rob Morris then had the opportunity to add to his very extensive back-ended portfolio when he had a crack at the $950 jackpot.
His attempt was unsuccessful however, which leaves $1000 on offer after play tomorrow.
This will be the last afternoon game, with the format to be switched to the evening time slot for the following week.
From September 25, players are asked to register by 5.30pm, with a view to start play at 6.15pm.
