It was previously held by their brother Josh.
Bryce and Kane were skiiing behind Agrovation, driven and owned by Chris Doonan, with their father Stuart Horne as observer.
Despite a few challenges, Bryce said the team was happy with how they performed on the day.
“It was a pretty good feeling (to break the record), especially considering I was riding with an injury after falling at the finish line on the Saturday,” Bryce siad.
“I was pretty sore on the Sunday and was taking it easy, but we still managed to get a pretty good result.
“It is a pretty old school boat with a new engine that we were using, and a different skiiing style, so we were pretty happy with what we could do.”
Josh and his ski partner Riley Fogarty were behind the 2019 record holder Illusion Down Under and came third. Their driver was Stuart Clough and observer Daryl Farley.
Agrovation also had the eleventh fastest time of the day in the Top 40 dash, which was held on the Saturday, and Illusion Down Under finished with the 23rd fastest time.
The Horne boys have been skiiing since they were six years old, with Bryce and Josh entering their first compeition in 2009, and they have no plans on slowing down.
Their next event is the Mildura 100, followed by the Southern 80 at Echuca in May.
They will be keeping up the training in preparation, which is done mostly out of the water.
“We spend a lot of time in the water during summer, but most of the training we do is out of the water,” said Bryce.
“The best style of gym for what we do is CrossFit.”
Bryce and Kane teach skiiing at Deni Boat Club on Friday nights during summer, which also helps with their preparation.
