It was a family affair when the monthly medals were contested in conjunction with the stroke event on Saturday.

Graeme Butcher won the men’s medal with the excellent score of 63 nett, while Karen Butcher took the ladies’ medal with 70 nett.
It is the first time a husband and wife have won their respective medals on the same day.
The event attracted a strong field with four grades.
A-grade winner was Pauline Davis nett 70 from runner-up Dean Irwin 71; B-grade Jason Kerr nett 68 from runner-up Malcolm Imlach 72, C-grade Russell Begg nett 70 from runner-up Marg Radeski 73; and D-grade went to Graeme Butcher from runner-up Adrian Mulham nett 65.
Last Thursday was also stableford.
A-grade winner was Linda Brant with 40 points from runner-up Kerran Leetham 38, and B-grade winner was Leanne Mulham with a superb 45 points, from runner-up Simon Brennan 37.
The 9 hole stableford event winner was Jennifer Adamson with 22 points from runner-up Esther Bolton 18.
On Wednesday, there were three grades in the stableford event.
A-grade winner was Daniel Payne with 41 points from runner-up Oscar Marshall 40; B-grade Josh Hunt 41 from runner-up Ron Friend 37, and C-grade Charlie Paton 44 from runner-up Tyson Payne 41.
Coming up we have a stableford event tomorrow, 9 holes stableford on Tuesday, stableford on Wednesday, 9 hole stableford or 18 hole stroke on Thursday, then versus par next Saturday.
Entries are being taken for the annual Life Members’ Challenge to be played over the Australia Day weekend on January 25 and 26.
There are stableford events each day, plus 36 holes, with an excellent total prize pool of $4125.
Players can select from two shotgun starts each day, either 7.30am or 12.30pm.
Golfers who want to join the community celebration for Australia Day at the Town Hall will be able to attend those activities, then have plenty of time to get ready for a 12.30pm start.
Entry for the 2025 Life Members’ Challenge is only $20 per player per day.

Friday Night Fun continues tonight, with raffle tickets on sale from 6pm and draws from 7pm, with happy hour also from 6pm to 7pm.
Quality meals are available at a reasonable price.
