After a break over the weekend for the long weekend, Saturday morning again was bursting at the seams with players.

With perfect conditions, icy poles were extremely popular at the end of the morning.
Hot Shots and coaching groups continue to develop with the players hitting as many balls as possible to ensure continuous improvement.
Parental involvement is essential and appreciated by organisers.
Players in matches had the option of playing two doubles and a singles or three doubles sets.
The rallies were intense and long lasting ensuring some very close matches.
Group winners were Thomas Loughnan, Jack Smith, Ernie Buerckner, Anthony Niuwenhout, Tague Saunders, Flynn Connell, Beau Lawrence, Reid Humphry, Flynn Cox, Alex Mulquiney, Jimmy Robinson, Tristan Meredith, Danny Ryan, Maya Isaac, Taylah Chessells, Billie Buerckner, Lucinda Moar, Maddi Marett, Winnie Cooper, Ruby Farr, Lily Leslie, Emily Moar and Tully Ellis.
Next Saturday the three-week Premier League competition will commence. This will involve the oldest 48 kids and each week they will play a singles, doubles and a mixed doubles with points being awarded for each set won.
Players will be invited during the week.

Wilby Tennis heating up
Round 5 of the Wilby and District Tennis Association was played in perfect conditions on Friday night.
It is rare to have all four matches being played on a Friday night but this did ensure all teams had an overflow of available.
At Londsdale Reserve the two golden teams battled it out, Mulwala Gold and Tungamah Gold. Mulwala proved too strong in the mens section winning 4 sets to 2 with Damian Cook as he regularly does winning all of his sets.
The ladies was extremely close with sets split before Mulwala snuck home by a single game with Steph Hammond winning all of her matches. The mixed was equally as tight with the sets 2 all but again Mulwala home by one game. Mulwala Gold home by 20 games to claim all 8 points.
Telford hosted Mulwala Green at Yarrawonga and many matches were long encounters ensuring a late finish.
The mens section was close but Telford were able to win 4 sets to 2 with Andrew Brew in good form winning all matches. The scoreline was exactly the same in the ladies section with Telford again claiming 4 sets with Angela Mitchell undefeated on the night.
Telford again a little strong in the mixed with a 3 sets to 1 win. Telford overall 17 games up and claiming all 8 points.
The second match at Yarrawonga saw Burramine play Savernake. The men had many close sets before Burramine winning 4 sets to 2 with Jason Bassett winning all of his matches.
Burramine’s ladies were again in ruthless form with Tess Bassett, Kirsty Skene, Olivia Lewis and Ella Lewis all winning. The mixed was a great hit with the sets shared 2 each before Burramine won by one game. Overall Burramine winning on games and claiming the 8 points.
Neighbouring hamlets Tungamah Green played Wilby. Tungamah’s men again continued their strong form winning 5 sets to 1 with Josh Buerckner and Jamie Hicks both winning all of their sets.
The ladies followed the same pattern as the men with Tungamah winning 5 sets to 1 with young stars Ellie Buerckner and Billie Buerckner both unstoppable. Tungamah home in 3 of the 4 sets in the mixed to win overall on games and claim all 8 points.
After round 5 the ladder is Tungamah Green 32, Telford 28, Burramine 28, Wilby 24, Mulwala Gold 19, Tungamah Gold 14, Mulwala Maroon 13 and Savernake 2.
This week Mulwala Maroon host Burramine, Savernake Gold will take on Mulwala Gold, Tungamah Green will play Tungamah Gold and Telford play Mulwala Maroon to finish off the round.
Thursday ladies competition
Perfect conditions allowed a fantastic night of tennis for the Thursday ladies. The tennis was played in great spirits and a large contingent of players reflected on the deck at the conclusion of the night. Thank you to the numerous fill-ins who kindly had a hit.
Zooper Doopers were in great form against Splices. On the back of Laynee Rhodes and Michelle Barry winning all of their sets they won the night 5 sets to 1.
Sunnyboys and Hearts had a tight battle with sets split 3 each although Sunnyboys did win rather easily on games after a trifecta of 6/1 wins to new player Laura Langford.
Paddle Pops had a good contest with Drumsticks before sneaking away to win 4 sets to 2. Michelle Ramadge was the star being undefeated.
Lifesavers had a 4 sets to 2 win over Frosty Fruits with Samantha Webster best on court not dropping a set.
Calippos and Bubble-o-Bills finished the night with a epic battle finishing with 3 sets each with Calippos winning by 3 games. Fill-in Demi Rhodes was in great form winning all of her matches.
The ladder after Round 3 is Lifesavers 21, Hearts 17, Calippos 17, Paddle Pops 17, Bubble-o-Bills 12, Sunnyboys 12, Barney Bananas 10, Zooper Doopers 9, Drumsticks 8, Frosty Fruits 5, Splices 4.
Goulburn Murray Tennis
The fourth round of Goulburn Murray Tennis was played on the weekend. Yarrawonga had a strong contingent playing in Division 1 for Numurkah.
Against top placed Nathalia, Numurkah put in a very strong performance to win 9 sets to 3. Jack Bassett won all of his three matches in a strong display. Lucy Bassett and Ellen Bruce both won 2 out of 3 matches to seal the team’s win.
In Division 2 Numurkah had back-to-back wins defeating Tatura 8 sets to 3 with Tess Basset winning both of her sets. Cobram played top placed Euroa in Cobram.
Cobram played well but Euroa came out on top 7 sets to 4. Daryl Bennett won one set and narrowly lost the mixed 8/7 with Hayley Bennett.
Tuesday Mens Tennis
The Tuesday Mens competition will begin on Tuesday, November 8. Organiser Ash Wheaton has locked in 13 teams which is an increase of 2 teams on last year.
The final draft picks and ironing out of salary cap issues is underway. The teams will be distributed over the next few days.
