On an overcast morning, the Rovers came up against the undefeated Tocumwal side.

After a tight first couple of minutes, Tocumwal put their goal on the board.
The Rovers lost their ruckman Jack Van Lieshout to a shoulder injury soon after, and the hard running Toc side took control and slammed on six more goals in the quarter.
The second quarter didn’t get any better for the Rovers as Tocumwal’s midfielders were dominating the centre clearances and pressing forward. Tocumwal piled on another seven goals.
After half-time, the Rovers side still could not get into the contest as the well drilled Tocumwal side kicked eight goals in each of the remaining two quarters.
The pleasing thing for the coaches was the younger players who stood up for the team.
Dexter Hardman and Brody Wills contested everything and Nick Fanning and Ben Hayes continued their great seasons with another strong game.
It was also pleasing to have Jack Hussey back in the team, who did a great job in the ruck for the team.

Fourths:
From the first bounce Bentley Hardman was in exhilarating form, racking up eight possessions in the first minute of the game and landing the first major for the quarter.
It was great to see Jacob Holton back after a long injury outage. He showed no signs of being out of the game as he charged through the midfield.
The young Roos continued to dominate the first quarter with four unanswered goals.
A five goal second quarter haul from the young Roos extended their lead.
Jake Harvey took control of the backline, busting through the packs to clear the ball when Toc tried to enter their forward 50.
Cormick Hardman was on fire in the second term booting three majors for the quarter.
The Rovers’ control of the game continued in the third term as Lara Strong, Haydn Sampson and Alex Ledwiedge applied pressure to the Toc forwards.
Lincoln Meharry was phenomenal in the ruck allowing Sam Strong to rover the ball like a pro.
The young Roos didn’t slow down, going into the fourth quarter racking up another four goals and keeping Toc to zero score.
Kelsey Clark moved onto the wing showing grit and determination in the contest.
Harv’s moved up forward and proved his spot as he notched up his first goal. A great team effort this week.

Our fifths footballers took on Tocumwal at home on Saturday.
To ensure even numbers, Rovers shared 10 of our players with Tocumwal.
The game was a high-energy affair, with lots of goals kicked by both teams.
