It has been a busy week for Echuca Football Netball Club.

Along with holding its last home game of the season at Victoria Park on Saturday, the club also celebrated its ladies day and raised funds for cancer research with its second annual golf day.
Friday saw 96 golfers take to the greens at Rich River Golf Club in the name of ovarian cancer research.
Along with a round of golf, competitors were treated to a buffet lunch, charity auction, and the words of guest speaker John Toomey, a wellbeing and mental health expert.
This was followed up on Saturday’s ladies day, where Echuca Regional Health nurse Serena Morley addressed more than 210 ladies in attendance.
The two events raised more than $30,000 to be shared between the club, the Australian Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation and a club member currently battling ovarian cancer.
“Last year we started the Presidents Cup Golf Day and saw it as a way we can acknowledge the Echuca Football Netball Club’s place in the community, generate enough support to help the club and also assist a charitable organisation or person in need,” said EFNC president Justin Hatfield.
“Coupled with our ladies Day, our wellness committee led by Sam Kennedy was able to raise over $30,000 last Friday and Saturday which this year will be shared with the EFNC, the Australian Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation and assisting one of our netballers who has been affected by ovarian cancer.
“I am very proud of the way our players and supporters have responded to this weekend and supporting the EFNC and the community at large. We all have a role in our community and it’s not just about the football and netball.”

Also on Saturday, EFNC unveiled the recently completed female change rooms.
The nine-toilet, seven-shower facility was built over the last six months and represents the first netball facility at Victoria Park.
The six-month project cost $600,000 and was funded by Campaspe Shire Council through the Growing Regions Fund.
