Playing at home, the Diggers defeated Stanhope for their third successive win to put themselves close to the top four.
Division 2 did not fare as well, going down to Stanhope at home, while Division 3 were overcome by Moama playing away.
In Division 5, the Ken Bowden led combination had a strong win of 28 to 11, while Tim Dover went down 11 to 18.
The margin created by the Bowden-led victory tipped the overall result to the Diggers, ending with 38 to 28.
Division 3 struggled on the Moama green with Neville Austin, Archie Webster, Peter Thommers and Jacob Glenn the sole rink winners on the day.
They snared a solid victory of 25 to 14.
John Wilson’s side went down 15 to 31, and Lindsay Dalzell’s also lost 12 to 25.

Division 2 were outclassed on their home greens by Stanhope, going down 50 to 70.
Deni only managed a single rink victory.
Linda Harris, Jim Jennings, Callan Glenn and Peter Wilson were victorious 23 to 13.
Both Tony Tonta and Gary Hulm’s teams went down, 18 to 24 and 10 to 33 respectively.
