Under-17s:
The thirds came up against an extremely well drilled outfit in Deniliquin on Good Friday hoping to continue on winning form from the previous week.
Deni piled on seven opening quarter goals, and after the first break things turned around slowly and the young Cats were able to get their hands on the ball more but couldn’t hit the scoreboard.
Although it was not a four quarter performance from the young Cats, some who did their bit were captain Harry Daniel, young onballer Blake Vidler, ruck Jackson Tooke tried hard all day against two good rucks, backman Elijah Everingham, Ryan Bauer and Cooper Sutton as well as Charlie Rorato and James Winn.
A shoulder injury to Logan Peasley was also a dampener for the day and the club wishes him a speedy recovery.
On to Moama this week hoping to get things back on track.
Final score: Finley 0.2 (2) def by Deni Rams 13.10 (88).
Best Players: Harry Daniel, James Winn, Charlie Rorato, Ryan Bauer, Benjamin Rourke, Jordan Dean
