But before then, local athletes will have time to get prepared by participating in the Lockhart Carnival.
The “home” carnival will be held on November 10.
Deniliquin will play host to a number of athletics clubs and their athletes from around the area at Deniliquin’s Hardinge St Oval.
Cost of events at the Deniliquin Little Athletic’s Carnival will be $5 per event, or parents can purchase a maximum five events for $20.
The day’s events will kick off at 9.30am.
Registrations for the Deniliquin carnival are expected to open this week, and close on November 4.
In the meantime, multiple families are preparing to represent Deniliquin at the Lockhart Little Athletics Carnival this Sunday.
Next on the carnival calendar for the local athletes will be the Western Riverina Zone Championships held in Griffith on Saturday, November 23.
Local athletes also continue to meet every Friday night at Hardinge St Oval for weekly athletics.
