Spencer Cowley (2) – Safest hands in the Picola League, Spenc always gives a target up forward, but can also go into the ruck or down back when needed. He’s leading the team’s goal kicking and is due for a big bag.
Cayden Hawley (3) – Big Dos is a strong centre halfback that just does his job, and normally against bigger opponents. Loves doing sprints at training, which has paid off and it shows on game day with his speed and agility around the ground.
Baxter Cowley (4) – Bax is a silky left footer who always seems to have time to use the footy, could be a super star if he could only kick a bit straighter to his brother. Has become a regular in the seniors and is set for a big finals campaign.
Rylan Wade (5) – Wadey broke his leg in the pre-season and is out for the year, but still gets around the club to support the boys.
Andrew Croker (6) – Crokes is the team’s number one defender who always gets the opposition’s best forward. Has shut down some of the league’s best this year. Another to play seniors and will be very important in the finals.
Alex Harvey (7) – vice-captain - The bull of the midfield, Blocka always leads by example. Has taken his footy to another level this year and has played senior footy as well, he will set the tone for the team during the finals.
Brody Wills (8) – Crafty forward who is always in the right spot. He loves to take hangers and kick bananas, also brings a bit of class in the midfield as well. ‘Shake’ forms one half of the dynamic duo.
Dexter Hardman (9) – Very reliable defender who reads the play well. He loves to intercept the ball and run it out of defence, rotates through the midfield and plays like “Pendles”. ‘Bake’ forms the second half of the dynamic duo.
Max Watson (10) – Big and strong utility who unfortunately has missed half the season due to family holidays. Wato has shown plenty of improvement this year with his marking and goal kicking. Will have to play a number of roles during the finals.
Austin Armytage (11) – Rooster has only played a handful of games this year due to him living away for school, but when he is in the team he brings that extra grunt and aggression towards the contests and doesn’t take a backward step.
Ben Hayes (12) – Quiet defender who never gets beaten one on one, loves the contested stuff and winning the hard ball for his teammates. Haysie can always be relied upon to shut his opponent out of the game.
Noah Dunn (13) – Clever forward in his first year of thirds, great skills and knows where the goals are. Dunny is always looking to improve each week and works hard on the training track.
Jack Van Lieshout – (captain) (14) - The team’s skipper Tall Timbrr always leads the team on and off the field. A dominant ruckman who always gives his onballers first use, can also slip forward where he never gets out-marked.
Henry Learmonth (15) – Super consistent player in his first year of thirds, who can play anywhere on the field. If not tagged he is very dangerous if allowed to run and bounce the footy. A video of Hen Dawg’s first goal is still getting likes on social media.
Jack Hussey (16) – Huzz has only been training for the last six weeks but has fitted straight back into the team. Yet to kick a drop punt in a game but has been very valuable in the ruck and as a tall forward with his high marking.
Landon Flisher (18) – Big improver of the team since the start of the year and plays any position his team needs him. Flish only trains Thursdays nights due to family functions every Tuesday. Always gives 100 per cent at every contest, you can never wipe the smile off his face.
Ethan Connolly (19) – One of the Rovers most consistent players this year who just competes all game. Etho loves to put the ball under his wing and run, is very dangerous when breaking the lines and kicking long into the forward line.
Isaac Behsman (21) – Determined utility with a beautiful long left foot kick. Issy loves the challenge when rotating through the midfield and mixing it with the big boys. He always takes the game on, has missed a few games but is ready for a big finals.
Nick Fanning (23) - Always reliable footballer in his first year of thirds, has found a home in the backline as a key defender and usually plays on a taller opponent. Strong under pressure, and never gives up until he wins the footy.
Fletcher Campion (24) – Fletch is the team’s future number 1 ruckman, but in his first year of thirds has filled a number of different positions. Can play both ends of the ground, is a strong overhead mark and has worked really hard on his kicking.
Andrew Smith (26) – High flying forward who always creates a contest. He is the teams barometer, when he’s up and flying the team’s going well. Smiddy/Lloyd could be the X-factor of the finals.
Reagan Macdonald (28) – Reags is a first year player at Rovers, who is a no fuss defender that just loves the contest. Nothing flashy about the way he plays, he just brings effort, pressure and determination.
Nathaniel Taylor (31) – Didn’t start playing until halfway through the season. Since then, Natho has not put a foot wrong, he is super quick around the ground and always gives 100 per cent at every contest.
Luke Holloway – Vice Captain (33) – Holla is another leader of the team that has had a great season, who can break the game open running out from halfback. Always puts his head over the footy at the contests and is a bit unlucky not to get rewarded more often from the umpires.
Brendan East (coach) – First year back coaching, and looking to fill the big shoes left from last years super premiership winning coach Chris Maher. Has set the standard for moustaches for the team, with no one even coming close. Loves a bit of banter with the boys and running.
Tim Van Lieshout (assistant coach) – Big Timbrr has finally come across to the dark side and left the netball behind. He is always calm and collected on the sidelines, and he brings great knowledge to the team as a premiership player. He loves showing up the boys on the training track, especially one of the ruckman.
Benji Hardman (runner) – most elegant looking runner in the Picola League, that always delivers the messages with poise. The coach can unfortunately only deliver one message a quarter, as he gets a little lost trying to get a kick on the way back.
Stacy Hardman (unofficial team manager) – always has all the paperwork effortlessly set out and ready to go. Nothing is ever an issue as she has probably already done it for you.
