An eight year-old record was broken at the Deniliquin North Public School swimming carnival on February 18.
Chloe Lawson finished the 50m freestyle with a new time of 34.04.

It was a huge achievement for Chloe, and a sign of all her efforts.
To top it off, she was also named Junior Girl champion at the school carnival.
The students enjoyed a chilly day at the pool to celebrate the 2021 swimming competition.
Other age champions were as follows:
Junior Boy – Henry Campion.
11 Year Boy – James Gatacre.
11 Year Girl – Grace Macdonald.
Senior Boy – Xander Strong.
Senior Girl – Alyssa Hawley.
The Deni North School team comprising 27 students travelled to Hay on February 25 to compete against the other Deniliquin Public School Sports Association schools.
The school sends its thanks to ‘‘all the parents and helpers’’ who assisted for both carnivals.
