The narrow victors at the end of the day were Tony Danckert, Lloyd Ritchie and Ken ‘Titch’ Salter, with the combination of Mark Quor, Ian McKenzie and Carl Ginders hot on their heels.
Tony Danckert then continued his good form for the day when his name was drawn out for the chance at the $850 cash jackpot.
He failed to pluck the elusive joker however, which leaves $900 up for grabs after play tomorrow.
With the weather becoming more and more pleasant, the club intends to return to the early evening time slot in the coming weeks.
It proved to be very well supported throughout the spring and summer months last year.
Until the time change, names must be in by 12.30pm for a 1pm start.
