The Redeyes are coming off a crushing loss at the hands of Deni, 136-9, and are taking on a team which sit fifth on the Picola League ladder.
Blighty sit in 14th, but coach Adrian Timmis said their aim is to “enjoy the day's play and keep trying to tick the boxes“.
“We really want to just not lay down and roll over to them, we want to really make them earn the win,” he said.
“We need to stick to structure and be accountable for our roles.”
The coaching staff have also started taking stats and using the date to form key performance indicators (KPIs) for the side.
They have been measuring the number of tackles, clearances and inside 50s the side are getting over the last couple of weeks.
The coaches have been happy with the outcomes of use of the data, with Timmis saying “the boys are doing well in the numbers they’re achieving”.
The side is really focused on how they are finishing the season.
With only two rounds left, they hope to continue to reach some of their goals before the year is done.
Improvement has already taken place and Timmis said “we are getting there on the things we are setting”.
One area Timmis pointed to was the side’s discipline, collecting free kick numbers showing the decline in free’s given in the last few weeks.
“Our discipline has been great over the last couple of weeks, and we are trying to enjoy being out there getting to play,” he said.
Blighty will travel to Katunga to take on the Swans this Saturday, with kick-off time set for 2.05pm.
