Sheehan, Australian Football League National Talent and International Manager, has released profiles on the top small and medium defenders in the 2024 Telstra AFL Draft pool.
''Athletic defender who can play on taller or smaller opponents. Is also composed under pressure and a sound distributor,“ Sheehan commented about the 189cm versatile (defender and forward) player.
“He mixed his football between the Murray Bushrangers and Xavier College, with his strong form and potential earning him selection for the Allies in all four matches at the National Championships.
“His best performance came against Victoria Country, where he was named among the Allies best. Was unable to test at the state Draft Combine in Melbourne due to injury,'' Sheehan added.
Eighteen-year-old Kennedy played three games with Yarrawonga this season – as a forward in an away game against Wangaratta in which he collected two Morris Medal votes, the winning second semi final against Wang Rovers and the losing grand final.
“I hope he goes well in the draft,” his proud father, former big kicking goalkicker with Rennie, Andrew Kennedy, said.
Incidentally, Ben is a Richmond AFL supporter, like his father, uncles and grandfather.
