The Deniliquin Boat Club was buzzing on Friday evening, with the return of skiing and Ski School following the Christmas break.

Many locals and visitors enjoying a relaxed evening socialising with family and friends while watching skiers and boating activity on the Edward River.
The Deniliquin Boat Club also hosted and welcomed the Victorian Barefoot Waterski Club on Friday evening and Saturday morning.
On Friday night, the VBC held a 'come and try' clinic.
There were a number of excited and eager kids keen to learn the skills of barefooting.
Australian team skier and Victorian Barefoot Club coach Macey Hicks put on an amazing display for the audience on Friday night.
She pulled off three twirls in a row while barefoot skiing.
This takes incredible balance and skill and was thrilling to watch.
Other team members of the Victorian Barefoot Club then demonstrated their barefoot skiing techniques.
The Victorian Barefoot Waterski Club then hit the water at the break of dawn on Saturday morning.
The Edward River provided ideal conditions for barefoot skiing with calm, glassy waters and a beautiful sunrise.
Many excited local families and people gathered at the boat club at 6.30am, ready to barefoot.
The VBC offered lessons throughout the morning.
The VBC plan to return to Deniliquin in March with the next barefoot come and try dates set for Friday, March 7 and Saturday, March 8.
These VBC come and try series events are held at various other locations across the Northern Victorian and Southern NSW regions to foster junior development in the sport.
