Anne and Judy will play the Championship Final at a DTBA.
Mens Singles Round One was played in stormy conditions (catch up game)
Jordan Thornton defeated Shawn McMahon 25/23 with only one rain delay.
Jordan will play Darryl Brown.
Corowa Civic Bowls Club
Midweek Pennant – Round 7
Due to the wet morning the B2 – Corowa Civic 1 against Tungamah and Corowa Civic 2 against Wareena games were abandoned. The A1 game went ahead as the rain had stopped by the start of play and the green was in good condition. Yarrawonga were in excellent form and came out big winners.

Weekend Pennant – Round 8
The O & M Bowls cancelled play for Saturday after the very heavy rain during the week and forecast the rain would continue Saturday. Points were halved for each team who were playing one another.
Civic will hold a Christmas get together on Saturday 7 th December at 6pm for 6.30pm. Please add your name to the list in the Clubrooms for catering purposes. This event will take place after pennant and gives everyone time to return to Corowa for the teams who are playing away.
Closing date for the Men’s and Ladies Triples closes on Sunday, add your names to the entry sheet in the Club House.
A game of the Ladies Single Championship was played on Friday morning, between Lynne Pyke and Sue Curtis, the green was rather heavy after all the rain Corowa has received during the week. Sue got away to a very handy lead; Lynne set about slowly winning some of the ends. Sue came out winner and will now play Michele Shields in the next round.

Sunday was a tournament day, held at our usual venue here in Club Corowa.
On Tuesday afternoon social, our winners on 17 and 17 (34) were Nez Carnivale, Ian Day, and Betty Clancy. With the runners-up on 4 and 18 (22) being Helen Bartel, Jan Webber, and Kerry Whalley.
And Thursday afternoon social club results was a win for the team of, Jan Webber, Helen Bartel, Keith Evans, and Ian Day; with a score of 17 and 18 (35). With the runners-up on 16 and 18 (34) being Merylyn Milthorpe, Wendy Dunbar, Anne Smith, and Gwen Mills.
