Club stalwarts, Andrew Hogan and Boddie Arthur, both played their 134th club games, surpassing the previous record of 133 held by Dean Edge.
Hogan and Arthur were both members of the first Rhinos A-grade team in 2013.
Both players were also part of the A-grade premiership win over Barooga in 2019-2020.
Hogan’s accolades include multiple Rhino Best and Fairests, being a Rhinos A-grade captain, a MVCA one-day premiership in 2013 for the Rhinos over Nathalia, multiple MVCA Teams of the Years, MVCA A-grade Guthrie Medal and a MVCA Melbourne and Bendigo Country Week representative.
He has scored more than 4000 runs with a top score of 143 against Tocumwal in 2019.
He is also the club’s leading wicket-taker with over 240 wickets.
Arthur also has an impressive list of achievements, and is the current A-grade captain.
He was runner-up in the Rhinos Best and Fairest last season (won by Hogan).
He was a member of the 2019-2020 premiership, and delivered an unbeaten 73 against Katamatite in a semi-final that the Rhinos won by one run.
Arthur was also named in the MVCA team of the year in 2020-2021.
He currently sits in fifth place for Rhinos run scorers with over 2200 runs, and his catching and fielding has also been a highlight, with 91 catches.
Hogan and Arthur are both 34 years old, and described as “fantastic clubmen”.
They can be expected to continue their strong performances with the Rhinos this season.
