Three people wearing balaclavas and carrying weapons attempted to break in to a Shepparton home on Friday, March 28.
Sergeant Shaun-Maree Brock said three people were “armed with poles or some sort of weapon” when they attempted the home invasion on the Shepparton house between 10.30pm and 11pm.
The trio, who tried to force a front door, were also wearing balaclavas.
One person was home in the house at the time.
The front door was damaged, but the group did not get into the house, Sgt Brock said.
The trio left in a silver Commodore that police believe may have been a VT or VZ model or something similar.
The vehicle also had a spoiler.
