The ultimate expression of love, mercy

"Having risen in the morning on the first day of the week, Jesus appeared to Mary of Magdala from whom he had cast out seven devils. She then went to those who had been his companions, and who were mourning in tears, and told them. But they did not believe her when they heard her say that he was alive and that she had seen him." (Mark 16:9-11).

Two weeks ago, the Christian world celebrated the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

And we were all very happy praising the Lord, singing alleluia.

The darkened world was again brightened by the light of the risen Christ; the people of God rejoiced because the glory of the Lord shone upon us.

This was the day when Jesus Christ broke the chains of death and rose triumphant from the grave. And we greeted one another, "Happy Easter".

What is the significance of Jesus Christ’s resurrection to you?

Does it help you to become a better person? Or a better Christian?

Does it change your behaviour?

Does it enhance your relationship with God and others?

lf not, what then is the significance of Jesus Christ's resurrection to you?

Are still living in the dungeon of darkness? That darkness was already extinguished by the appearance of the risen Christ.

We all know that the resurrection of Jesus Christ is about the restoration of the original destiny that God envisioned for us to enjoy.

Unfortunately, it was a plan abandoned by humankind, created in the image and likeness of God, in exchange for the mere lures of the devil.

God is merciful to us, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ is the ultimate expression of unconditional love and mercy.

His mercy that has brought peace to the world by the forgiveness of sins - his mercy that transforms an unbelieving heart; his mercy that gives us life eternal by divine adoption.
