When we seem unable to provide a logical explanation for our existence, we tend to focus on ourselves and whatever abilities we have and use that to give our lives meaning and purpose.
This probably works well until we discover that our abilities are more limited than we first thought.
When we discover our limitations, there is an obvious solution to overcome the problem: Keep working harder and harder until we succeed.
We may feel that this gives our life a purpose, but it still does not explain when and how we got here.
The Bible gives us a different outlook than our focus on ourselves, and the first chapters of the Book of Genesis (first book of the Bible) give God’s perspective on the ‘who’ and ‘why’ of creation, including for us as human beings, and our part.
The all-powerful God of creation, existing as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, “spoke” the universe into existence simply by God’s will.
We may be unlikely to accept that explanation, until we also recognise His purpose for creation, with mankind as the pinnacle of that creation.
Genesis, (supported by the rest of the The Bible) explains that none of us are here by chance, that each of us were created in God’s image for the purpose of a loving and reciprocal relationship with our creator.
Rather than expecting us to battle through life on our own abilities, God has provided His strength and resources, to allow us to make the most effective use of the abilities He has provided us with, to live up to the masterplan of His purpose, for each part (and person) of His creation by trusting Him.
