The sun didn’t shine for this year’s Deniliquin Collectors Club Spring Rally, affecting attendance at the Saturday and Sunday event.

There were fewer than expected vintage machinery displays, and entrants for Sunday’s show and shine were also down.
But it did mean a smaller crowd had more time to enjoy the Club Shed and pavilion displays, which were full of colour and life.
Adding a little silver lining to the weekend, according to rally secretary Helen Baker, was the celebration of a life membership presentation.
Doug and Robyn Tebbens were jointly inducted, after having been foundation members of the Deniliquin Collectors Club.
“Congratulations to Doug and Robyn,” she said.
“They have both done a lot for the club, and are well deserving of the award”.
Despite the rain, Saturday’s Tractor Trek went ahead, their owners donning wet weather gear and heading off for a few hours.
Organisers say while attendance was a little disappointing, they concede the weather, lingering concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic and other regional events were the cause.
