DeniSPOT was created to support rural National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) kids who need allied health input, to ensure bush kids have the same opportunities as city kids.
It is the only NDIS speech pathology provider which is locally owned and operated right here in Deniliquin.
This means clients have more funding for valuable therapy hours, as it's not spent on expensive out of town travel hours.
Formerly known as Deni Teach and Speech, the expert team works with children, families and schools to build skills that support their learning and wellbeing.
DeniSPOT started as a speech pathology and educational advocacy clinic, and has now extended services to include occupational therapy.
These disciplines compliment each other, allowing for individualised multi-disciplinary therapy.
Individual clients and small groups enjoy movement in the new neuro affirming clinic in Cressy St, located beside the post office.
The team consists of a speech pathologist, occupational therapists, special education teachers, primary and early years teachers and experienced allied health assistants.
The team often gets asked ‘what do you actually do?’, and provided this list on how DeniSPOT can help:
Speech pathology:
• Improve communication and talking skills.
• Enhance language skills to support comprehension.
• Explore social skills, helping children build friendships and confidence.
Occupational Therapy:
• Develop fine motor skills for handwriting, cutting, and using classroom tools.
• Support sensory processing for better focus and emotional regulation.
• Strengthen organizational skills to improve attention and task completion.
What we offer:
• 1:1 sessions in clinic or school.
• After school programs.
