U3A classes resume Monday

It’s not just the young people of Deniliquin who will return to learning next week.

The start of Term 3 of the NSW school year also means Deniliquin U3A (University of the Third Age) also returns from a break.

The international movement aims to educate retired or elderly members of the community — those in their ‘third age’ of life.

The U3A Term 3 timetable resumes on Monday, with the walking group meeting at the entrance to Willoughby’s Beach from 8am.

Other Monday activities are a sing-a-long, writing group and instruction on iPads and iPhones.

This term also includes a ukulele group, the popular Scattegories/games session, mahjong, discussion group, history and canasta.

You can also learn Australian sign language, attend Canberra U3A forums via Zoom and the coffee group.

And on the first Friday of each month a guest speaker is arranged.
